Benjamin L. Bailey is a dedicated leader and local business owner with deep roots in the Abilene community.
Born and raised in Abilene and a proud graduate of Abilene ISD, Ben’s professional journey is defined by a consistent commitment to service, whether on a global scale with the United States Navy or right here at home in Abilene.
Ben is excited to take his expertise and experience to serve the citizens of Abilene as a city council member.
Decades of leadership in military, government, and business—all in service to others.
Before returning to Abilene to build his business, Ben achieved the rank of Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy, completing four tours of combat experience and directing special forces missions and overseeing security of classified material. His military career instilled a "service-first" mentality.
Ben served as District Representative for U.S. Congressman Randy Neugebauer and State Senator Dawn Buckingham, advocating for the 27 counties of West Texas and gaining deep understanding of local economies.
Today, Ben channels his spirit of service as owner of Precision Mechanical, an HVAC and plumbing company with over 30 years of operation serving Abilene, Lubbock, and San Angelo.
Ben believes in not merely promoting Abilene, but leveraging its unique strengths to advance sound regional policy and economic growth for the community's future prosperity.
Ben's dedication extends far beyond business—his civic involvement demonstrates a lifelong commitment to making this community stronger.
A graduate of Abilene Christian University, Ben returned to his hometown to raise his four children alongside his wife and to reinvest in the community that shaped him. Whether in business or public life, he remains a steadfast advocate for Abilene, dedicated to ensuring the region thrives for generations to come.
